Yes, it is definitely possible for someone to crack the Engineering Services Examination (ESE) or the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) even after several years of graduation. I started my preparation for ESE after five years of graduation, and my sole motive was to clear ESE, not any future preparation for Computer Science Engineering (CSE).
